Botox ™ and Xéomin are neuromodulators that temporarily block muscle movement. Using an ultra-fine needle, the treatment consists of injecting one of these products into the facial muscles that are responsible for the formation of wrinkles. If needed, an anesthetic cream is applied before the injections. Botox ™ and Xéomin also lift the brow bone, reduce chin folds and horizontal neck wrinkles. Botox can effectively treat hyperhidrosis, mainly in the underarms, hands, feet, but also the face. It consists of injecting a dose into the affected area, blocking the faulty transmission of information of the nervous system that overstimulates sweat glands. Consequently, perspiration stops or returns to normal in the medium term.
Results
The treatment is well-tolerated, and the effects as well as benefits are felt within a few days. The effect of treatment lasts 4 to 6 months.
Recovery Time
The treatment causes minimal discomfort. At most, patients feel an insect bite-like sensation at the moment of injection. Tiny bruises may appear on the treated areas, but they disappear after a few days.
